Who we are

The team who formed The Roberts Partnership had previously worked together and are still in place today.  As you can see from our biographies below we come from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of professional qualifications.

Andrew Roberts BSc, BA, FCA (Director)

Andrew now acts as our Chairman.  He graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Economics before going on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.   Andrew holds the Investment Management Certificate and continues to sit on the Investment Committee, which oversees the formation of our ‘house view’ and overall investment strategy.

Jonathan Partington BSc, ACA (Director)

Jonathan is Managing Director with overall responsibility for the financial and operational running of the firm.  He graduated from Bradford University with a degree in Business Studies and then went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.  He joined the team in 1996 having previously held finance positions in the engineering consultancy and leather goods sectors.

Tony Antczak BA, ATII (Director)

Tony graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in Politics and Economics and is also qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.  He commenced his career in private client advice joining the team in 1984 with a focus on wealth management for private individuals and trusts.  Tony is a member of the investment committee.

Andrew Clayton BCom (Director)

Andrew joined the team in 1996 immediately after graduating from Birmingham University with a degree in Commerce.  He holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate and is a member of the investment committee. Andrew provides advice on all aspects of financial planning with a focus on wealth management for private individuals and trusts.

Steve Demidoff BA (Director)

Steve graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Accountancy and began his career in the actuarial department of a major life assurance company.  He joined the team in 1992 and he holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.  Steve provides advice on all aspects of financial planning.

Gordon Mazza MA(Cantab), MBA (Director)

Gordon joined the team in 1990, moving from his position as a management consultant with Andersen Consulting.  He graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Economics, which he has since followed up with an MBA.  Gordon has considerable experience in managing portfolios for private clients and trusts.

Lindsey Holmes MA, ATT, Chartered Financial Planner

Lindsey graduated from Edinburgh University with an MA in Economic History before joining a large life assurance company for two years.  Lindsey joined the team in 2008 from Deloitte, where she worked in their Private Client Department, specialising in wealth advisory matters for private clients and trusts.  She is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Member of the Association of Taxation technicians. 

Glenn Urquhart BSc, MBCS

Glenn joined the team in 2002 as a business systems analyst immediately after graduating with a degree in Business Information Technology.  He has responsibility for delivering and improving our business systems to maintain and enhance our client service.  Glenn's role also includes the management of the IT infrastructure.
